SIRDC and its subsidiary company, SIRTECH Investments (Pvt.) Ltd, showcased their products and services at the country’s premier trade event, ZITF 2006, which took place from 25 to 29 April 2006. The SIRDC/SIRTECH stand could easily have qualified as a good example of the one-stop-shop concept because of the myriad of products and services that were being marketed there.

SIRDC had on display a product range that included:
- Mushroom spawn and mushroom products such as dried mushroom.
- Gravity Grinding Mill which is unique and can mill a variety of grain, including maize, rapoko, sorghum, etc.
- Solar Street Light for street lighting, guarded car park lighting, emergency lights, security lights, etc.
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) columns for use by chemical/biochemical laboratories,
pharmaceutical companies, tertiary education institutions, food processing organizations, etc.
-Temperature controller prototype for temperature regulation applications in the refrigeration industry.
-Herbal products, e.g. herbal teas.
-Remote Sensing/Geographic Information System applications.

SIRDC also marketed the following services:
- Calibration of measuring instruments
- Business Information
- Food and nutrition issues
- Training courses, e.g. mushroom cultivation, herbal garden project, etc.

On the other hand, SIRTECH featured the following:
- SIRTILES – micro concrete roofing tiles.
- Science laboratory and teaching equipment known as SLATE.
- Foundry products which included: impellers, brake discs, water pump, casings, etc.
- Information on a forth-coming animal drug for ticks and worms.

The two organizations put icing on the cake by hosting a cocktail party that was attended by clients, business leaders, associates and executives. The party allowed management and staff to socialize, share ideas and views as well as cementing the strong business relationship with the various stakeholders in a relaxed atmosphere.
