Judith Kateera
Mrs Judith Kateera attended the University of
Zimbabwe and obtained an Honours degree in Economics in 1986. From
1993 – 1994, she studied for a Master of Arts degree in Development
Economics at the Centre for Development Economics (CDE) at Williams
College, Massachusetts USA. She underwent on the job professional
development training in the areas of computer literacy, personnel
management, macro–economic analysis for structural adjustment,
economic analysis and strategic planning, privatization, options
and financing techniques, financial programming and policies, risk
management, and negotiation skills.
Mrs Kateera has worked in the civil service since
1987, rising from the level of an Administrative Officer in the
Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, to being senior Administrative
Officer, Senior Economist (Social Dimensions of Adjustment), Principal
Economist (Public Enterprises), and Chief Economist and Assistant
to the Minister of Finance. She joined the Privatization Agency
of Zimbabwe under the Office of the President and Cabinet as an
Investment Analyst/Banker in July 2000, after which she was appointed
Principal Director (Treasury) in the Ministry of Finance in March
2004.
Mrs Kateera has also undertaken work assignments
for the IMF and the World Bank in Washington, USA. |
