Dr Londiwe Nkiwane obtained an MSc degree in Textile Technology from the University of Jassy, Romania; an MA degree in Textiles and Clothing Education from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden and a PhD degree in Textiles in Industries from the University of Leeds, UK. Her working career included lectureships at the university of Zimbabwe from 1989 to 1994 and at the National University of Science and Technology where she was elevated to the position of senior lecturer. Dr Nkiwane’s research interests are in the areas of Textile Science and Engineering, Intelligent Textiles, 3-D Textiles and the Application of Textile in rural settings. She is a member of the International Institute
for Women Engineers. |
