Mr.
Samson Gumbo
Mr. Samson D Gumbo is currently the Director
of Work Related Learning at the Midlands State University (MSU).
He is a member of Senate and was one of the members of the first
MSU University Council.
He played a significant role as founder member
and chairman of Friends of the University of Midlands Association
(FUMA), an Association that sought to establish a University in
the Midlands.
Mr Gumbo is the inaugural Chairman of Midlands
Science and Technology Development Committee established by the
Ministry of Science and Technology Development to champion the application
of science and technology in industry, schools and the community.
In that role he is championing the development and application of
education software in schools and the training of information technology
teachers through In-service Training programmes.
Before joining MSU, Mr Gumbo worked in the private
sector where he was an Education Consultant in the Application of
Information Technology in Education and later became the Executive
Director of Computer Educational Services which ran an In-Service
programme for the training of primary and secondary school teachers
in computer studies and the application of computers in Education. |
