Public Relations

Public Relations is a management function meant to achieve the following:

  • Building Corporate image through undertaking an effective communication between the Centre and its various publics.
  • Establishing mutually beneficial relationship with the same
  • Safeguarding a corporate identity of the company
  • Developing and maintaining links with the Media
  • Producing company profile, annual reports and all literature for the public domain
  • Organising and managing of Corporate Events
  • Showcasing the company and promoting its activities
  • Establishing and maintaining information channels including the company’s website
  • Developing and implementing a Social Media Strategy to publicise the Centre and its activities

The Public Relations Department also disseminates information through library services which include:

  • Reference services, internet browsing and services as well as maintaining text
  • Provision of research journals both online and print
  • Provision of current daily and weekly local newspapers
  • Provision of pictorial reference sources
