About the ZTS
Zimbabwe Technological Solutions (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated on 16 October 2006.
It is a successor to SIRTECH INVESTMENTS (Pvt) Ltd. When SIRTECH went into joint venture with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe to commercialize completed SIRDC research projects, the need for another special purpose vehicle to commercialize future research projects became apparent.

Goals/Objectives
To commercialize research projects from SIRDC institutes through:

• Joint ventures between SIRDC and public/private partners; or
• Out right sale of completed projects in return for royalties; or
• By licensing out the SIRDC technologies.

• Oyster Mushroom Spawn
• Oyster Mushroom Fruit
• Indigenous Food Project.
• Dehuller and Grinding Mill
• Temperature Controller
• Egg Incubator
• Drought-tolerant Hybrid Maize Seed
• Solar Water Heater

Achievements
Since 2007 a number of investors including banks have been approached to partner SIRDC to commercialize these projects.
However, the economic environment made it difficult to secure funds to set up commercial production companies.
SIRDC is looking for partners to commercialise the research products listed above.
Currently there is limited production of these products at laboratory and pilot scale.
