Cleaner Production Centre (CPC)
About CPC
The CPC is a unit under ERSI. The United Nations Industrial Development
Organisation (UNIDO) and the Division of Technology, Industry and
Economics of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP DTIE)
combined their expertise and resources in an innovative joint initiative
that established National Cleaner Production Centres in 1994, in
many developing countries in Africa and Asia. The centres were established
to help developing countries and countries with economies in transition
build their own local cleaner production capacities
The centre conducts training programs to
develop capacity for cleaner production. It promotes and demonstrates
the use of cleaner production techniques and technologies that benefit
both industry and the environment. |
