COURSES ON OFFER
Major energy management training courses developed and run by ETI
can either be standard or tailor-made for specific organizations
or clients. Standard courses, modular in form and practical in content
are at three levels, namely:
• Level 1: Awareness Training
• Level 2: Core Training Programme (CTP)
• Level 3: Make it Happen
Main Objective of the
Courses:
The courses are intended to motivate and develop a capability within
industrial, mining and commercial firms to initiate and sustain
optimum and cost-effective energy management practices. The courses
enhance the ability of technical personnel to critically assess
energy usage, to recognize and identify energy cost saving opportunities,
as well as to carefully plan, develop and implement systematic energy
management programs and projects, which will effectively reduce
the energy bill.
Target Group:
The courses are particularly useful to practising engineers, technicians
and plant operators in industry, utilities and to technical supervisors
and managers of commercial/ institutional/ public buildings.
(1) Level One - Awareness Training

structure and content of the courses are periodically reviewed.
ETI collaborates
with Comprehensive Energy Solutions and Southern Centre for Energy
and Environment in implementing Energy Management projects.
8. NATIONAL AND REGIONAL COLLABORATION
ETI collaborates with power supply utilities, providers of industrial
and domestic consumer services, government, non-governmental organizations
and energy research and development organizations within and outside
