OF MCR TILES
What is an MCR roofing tile?
“MCR” tiles stands for “micro-concrete
roofing” tiles made of cement and sand. An MCR tile is a low-cost
roofing tile that has been developed as an excellent cost-effective substitute
to conventional tiles. The tile is of good quality. It conforms to SAZ
standard 863:2002.
The MCR Colours
To suit individual preferences, SIRDC is offering
the MCR Tiles in four different colours.
Competitive advantages of the MCR Tile
- The MCR is a low Cost Technology.
- The MCR Tile is about 50 percent cheaper than the
conventional concrete tile.
- Batten spacing for the MCR Tile is 400mm center
space, compared to the conventional tile’s 300mm center space.

It requires less timber on trusses.

surroundings.
