Mrs Tarisayi Zvoma (nee Marangwanda) is the Public Relations (PR) Executive for SIRDC. She became fulltime PR Executive in March 2010 after having held the position in an acting capacity on various occasions.
Prior to joining SIRDC, she worked as an Assistant Lecturer of History at the University of Zimbabwe (1985-1986) as well as Research Assistant with the Agricultural Marketing Authority (1986-1987).
She then joined the Parliament of Zimbabwe as a Researcher and was subsequently elevated to Director of Public Relations and Public Education (1987- December 2006).
She joined Sirtech Investments (Pvt) Ltd, a company wholly owned by SIRDC, as Public Relations Executive and Acting Marketing and Customer Care Manager in 2007, thus beginning her association with SIRDC.
Mrs Zvoma holds an M A degree in African History and a B A (Hons) degree in History from the University of Zimbabwe; Diploma in Public Relations and Marketing (LCCI), Certificate in Development Studies from the University of Oslo, Norway and a Certificate in Constitutional Law from the Bureau Parliamentary Studies in India.
Mrs Zvoma has extensive experience in undertaking and managing Public Relations activities, corporate communications, advocacy, event management and media liaison. She has excelled in these areas and was nominated for the marketer of the year award for 2005 and 2006 in the public institutions category by the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe.
She designed the best exhibits in the East End Hall at the 2006 Harare Agricultural Show and won two trophies.
