Duties and Responsibilities
-Setting up the Public Relations Department
-Developing and maintaining the corporate image of the organization
-Coordinating the preparation and dissemination of the organization's
publications.
-Preparing information brochures.
-Organizing functions on behalf of the organization
-Supervising staff in the public relations / information department.
-Press liaison
-Liaising with advertising agency for any print or video advertising
required

-- Type all correspondence/documents for the Head of Department
- Create and maintain proper filing system in the Public Relations
Manager’s office

- Receive and make calls, dispatch faxes and e-mail on behalf of
the Public Relations Manager
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 good ‘O’ Levels
- National Diploma (or better) in Secretarial Studies
- Excellent computer skills.
- A very good business sense
- Good command of English Language – both written and spoken
- Good Public Relations
- Experience in a Public Relations environment will be an added
advantage

2)PURCHASING DEPARTMENT
Position C: Purchasing Manager
Reports to : Chief Executive Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
-Setting up a Purchasing Department and training of subordinate
staff to effectively apply the organization’s purchasing procedures.
-Coordinating and facilitating all foreign purchases
-Ensuring continuous supply of critical raw materials, spares and
consumables
-Formulating and implementing of Purchasing Policy and Procedures.
-Overall System Administration of the Pastel Inventory module and
bills of material modules.
-Finding new suppliers, maintaining existing suppliers and developing
mutually strategic partnerships to add value to all purchases.
-Evaluating bids from suppliers for capital expenditure items and
carrying out value analysis of products and services.
-Identifying contractual risks or benefits areas and providing fast
rate cost effective business solutions.
-Developing performance reviews and improvement programs for key
suppliers.
-Monitoring of government regulations, tariffs and duties that impact
on SIRTECH ’s business.
-Acting as the key negotiator within a corporate framework with
key suppliers.
-Managing marketing research, pricing research, quality research,
measuring supplier performance to get value for money.
-Managing and co-ordinating all procurement activities to ensure
maximum utilization of the company’s overall buying power
and cost reduction programmes.
-Carrying out any other duties that Management may assign to you
from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
-Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or Graduate Diploma
from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply
-Certificate in Imports procedures
-High level computer literacy
-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
-Clean Class four driver’s license
-Studying towards MBA will be an added advantage

Position D: Secretary
Reports to : Purchasing Manager
The position requires a dignified, responsible
and sociable person who can associate with a wide range of people
from various social standings. The incumbent will be responsible
for the day-to-day administrative issues within the Purchasing Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attending to incoming and outgoing calls.
- Attending to departmental visitors and assisting them with their
enquiries.
- Word-processing daily correspondence, e-mailing and faxing
- Records Management
- Market Research, locally and internationally
- Assisting in purchasing consumables.
- Attending to housekeeping issues
- Keeping the daily attendance register
- Carrying out any other duties assigned by the Purchasing Manager
Qualifications and Experience

- A’ Levels will be an added advantage
- Good Public Relations
- Highly computer literate and excellent with the use of the Internet
- At least 2 years experience in the Secretarial field.

Position E: Transport and Logistics
Manager
Reports to : Chief Executive Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
-Allocation and maintenance of vehicles. Day to day administration
of the organization’s transport requirements.
-Coordinating delivery of products locally and across the borders.
-Administration of the organization’s accommodation and infrastructure
developments..
-Administration of the organization’s general services encompassing:
energy and water, post and telecommunication, Informatics, Insurance,
catering, security, etc.
Qualifications and Experience
-University Degree or higher.
-At least 5 years relevant experience at management level.
-Experience in setting up similar logistics from scratch would be
a distinct advantage.

-At least three (3) years motor cycle riding experience
-Good knowledge of Harare

-A clean class 2 driver’s license plus defensive driving certificate
required
-Valid passport and cross border experience important
-At least five (5) years of heavy duty driving experience.
-Experience in driving semi automatics split gears e.g. Mercedes
Benz Actros, Scania, ERF
-Possession of any other class an added advantage
-Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance important
-Experience in left drive will be an added advantage

- Keeping records of all Sirtech vehicles.
- Receiving and facilitating requests for transport.
- Receiving and facilitating requests for vehicle repairs and servicing.
- Maintaining records of vehicle utilization, repairs and maintenance.
- Maintaining records of fuel stocks and disbursements.
- Maintaining vehicle insurance and claims records
- Sourcing quotations for consumables and services
- Carrying out any other duties assigned by the Transport and Logistics
Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 good ‘O’ Levels including English Language
- A’ Levels will be an added advantage
- Good Public Relations
- Highly computer literate and excellent with the use of the Internet
- At least 2 years experience in the Secretarial field.
- Experience in a transport environment will be a distinct advantage.

4) SIRTILE STRATEGIC BUSINESS UNIT
Position
I: Electro-Mechanical Technician
Reports to: Production
Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair and Maintenance of all plant machinery (both electrical
and mechanical).
- Carry out planned maintenance on all equipment.
- Trouble shooting and attending to all breakdowns.
- Carrying out any other duties that may be required by the Plant
Manager from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be a qualified fitter and turner with knowledge of Electrical
repairs.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years in the repair and maintenance of
machinery.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

5) SECURITY DEPARTMENT
Position
J: Security Guards x 3 (Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare –
Female Environment)
Reporting to: Production Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
-Manning of entry and exit points at the production site.
-Searching motor vehicles and persons.
-Patrolling the grounds to ensure security.
-Attending to scenes of crime when required.
-Conducting preliminary investigations
-Apprehending accused persons
-Giving evidence in court or disciplinary hearings
-Recording statements
-Any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 ‘O’ Levels including English Language.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Position
K: Human Resources Execuive (1 Post)
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing policy and information documents for staff to know
about employment conditions and any relevant new developments.
- Setting up computerized personnel data files for ready retrieval
of information
- Providing line function in administering the code of conduct,
performance appraisals, job advertisements, interview arrangements
- Identifying human resources development needs and facilitating
requisite training
- Supervision of the Human Resources Department
- Formulating a human resources policy to sustain change management
- Ensuring compliance with all labour regulations
- Any other duties delegated by senior management from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
- A Masters’ Degree in Social / Behavioural Sciences/ Business
Studies or Administration.
- 5 years’ experience in all aspects of personnel management
and in possession of an Advanced Diploma in Personnel Management.
- Ability to administer computer-based employee records and pay
plus payroll system
- Must be conversant with current labour legislation
- Be a member of Institute of Personnel Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ)
- Possession of a valid class 4 drivers’ licence
