Mr Josphat Donald Chidhuro is a decorated Security Practitioner by profession. Currently he is the Chief Security Officer at SIRDC since November 2007. He started off his working career in 1976 as a Constable under the British South Africa Police (now the Zimbabwe Republic Police, ZRP) and climbed the promotional ladder to the rank of Superintendent. He was awarded several medals during his service in the Police Force.
Mr Chidhuro holds a Diploma in Risk and Security Management as well as an Executive Diploma in Business Leadership. He is currently studying for a B Sc degree in Police and Security Studies with Unisa. During his working career, Mr Chidhuro has also acquired various professional development training in Traffic Legislation, Traffic Management, Computer Studies, Role of Police in Protecting Human Rights, Inspector Management Course, Junior Officers` Command Course and Prosecutors` Course, among others.
