
Public Relations is a management function meant to achieve the following:
- Building Corporate image through undertaking an effective communication between the Centre and its various publics.
- Establishing mutually beneficial relationship with the same
- Safeguarding a corporate identity of the company
- Developing and maintaining links with the Media
- Producing company profile, annual reports and all literature for the public domain
- Organising and managing of Corporate Events
- Showcasing the company and promoting its activities
- Establishing and maintaining information channels including the company’s website
- Developing and implementing a Social Media Strategy to publicise the Centre and its activities
The Public Relations Department also disseminates information through library services which include:
- Reference services, internet browsing and services as well as maintaining text
- Provision of research journals both online and print
- Provision of current daily and weekly local newspapers
- Provision of pictorial reference sources
